Thanks to her stellar performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once, Michelle Yeoh has been having a Hollywood renaissance. The actress, 62, already received more than a dozen accolades for her famous role, including a well-deserved Golden Globe. She also made history as the first Asian actress to receive an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Flash forward and she's in one of the biggest movies of 2024, Jon M. Chu's adaptation of Wicked, alongside other luminaires like Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey. Yeoh plays Madame Morrible, the Shiz University professor and Oz powerbroker who changes Elphaba's life in ways previously unimaginable to the young witch. Per Variety, the film made $114 million in its opening weekend—and PureWow Vice President of News and Entertainment Philip Mutz said he wouldn't be surprised if it receives tons of awards nominations.

Meanwhile, Yeoh shows no indication of slowing down, with several new projects in the works, from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts to Avatar 3. 1. Who Is Michelle Yeoh’s Partner?

Yeoh is currently in a relationship with Jean Todt, who is the United Nations’ Special Envoy for Road Safety. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the FIA Foundation for the Automobile and Society, according to his official bio.

Like his partner, Todt boasts an impressive resume. He started his career in 1966 as a world championship rally co-driver and went on to become the Sporting Director at Peugeot. Todt then joined Ferrari Racing and worked at the company as a general manager for two years before being appointed CEO in 2006. In 2009, he became president of the FIA, Fédération Internationale de L'Automobile, and stepped down in 2021.

2. How Did Michelle Yeoh Meet Her Partner?

According to Town & Country, the happy couple met in Shanghai in 2004. China Daily also reports that they first crossed paths in June of that year during a promotional event for Ferrari.

Since then, they have been spotted together at F1 races in France and the United Kingdom. By 2005, Yeoh and Todt were officially engaged.

3. Is Michelle Yeoh Married?

In her interview with Town & Country, Yeoh revealed that she and Todt had been way too busy to plan a ceremony. But it seems that the busy couple finally found some time to tie the knot in July 2023. As CNN reported, they wed in Geneva, Switzerland, 19 years after Todt had first proposed. Though the ceremony was simple, Yeoh brought a little bit of her Hollywood flair, changing into a sculptural Schiaparelli gown, complete with a bejeweled face on the bodice. "19 years and YES!! we are married!!" she wrote in the caption. "Thkq to our ‘families’ ❤️ who love us for all these years . We love you and here’s to many more to come ❤️✨❤️✨✨"

4. Do They Have Any Children?

They don’t have any children, but Todt shares a son named Nicolas with his former wife. Like his dad, Nicolas is also involved in the motorsport world. He founded All Roads Management in 2003, and he currently manages several famous racing drivers.

5. Who is Michelle Yeoh’s Ex-Husband?

Before she met Todt, Yeoh was married to Hong Kong entrepreneur Dickson Poon from 1988 to 1992. They first crossed paths back in 1984, when Yeoh was hired by Poon’s production company for a commercial with Jackie Chan.

Poon is currently the executive chairman of his Hong Kong-based company, Dickson Concepts, and he is also co-founder of D&B Films Co., Ltd.

6. Who Else Has She Dated?

Aside from Poon, the actress also had a relationship with a cardiologist named Alan Heldman.

The two reportedly got engaged in 1998, but they called it quits in 2000.
