Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg’s New Comedy Is Already the #1 Movie on Netflix After Only 24 Hours

We always keep our eyes locked on Netflix's rankings of their most-watched titles, because we love seeing what the majority of subscribers are streaming. And now, a brand-new film just caught our attention after it flew to the top within only 24 hours of being released: Me Time.

The Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg-starring comedy dropped on Netflix on Friday, August 26, and it was clearly being awaited by fans, because it is already number one on Netflix's list of top movies. And this is no small feat, considering that it climbed above other major new titles from the streaming platform, like Jamie Foxx's vampire flick, Day Shift, and Lili Reinhart's rom-com, Look Both Ways. Check out the trailer for Me Time below.

In the trailer, we see that Me Time follows a stay-at-home dad named Sonny (Hart), who gets a long-awaited bit of time to himself when his family goes away on vacation. However, when his friend Huck (Wahlberg) comes racing back into his life, Sonny finds himself in the midst of a wild birthday weekend that could turn out disastrously.

“Every parent's dream is to spend a week without their family,” Sonny's friend Alan (Andrew Santino) says in the clip. However, Sonny does not get the relaxing weekend that he was envisioning.

Alongside Hart, Wahlberg and Santino, Me Time also features Regina Hall (Girls Trip) in the part of Sonny's hard-working wife, as well as a number of other stars, including Jimmy O. Yang (Space Force), Luis Gerardo Méndez (Club de Cuervos), John Amos (Good Times) and more.

Me Time was written, directed and produced by John Hamburg, who has directed Along Came Polly, I Love You, Man and Why Him? Hart also served as a producer on the film, along with Bryan Smiley.

Guess we'll have to check this one out when we get some “me time” ourselves.
