From Fellow Travelers to his GQ spread, Matt Bomer has been taking Hollywood by storm. Doom Patrol, Magic Mike and The Normal Heart are just a few projects he's known for. And if you haven't already heard, there's a good chance that White Collar fans will get a revival. Regarding the script, Bomer told People, “It really just feels like [Neal Caffrey] was able to pick up the right where we left off. It's a really intelligent, fun, organic way to bring all the characters back together to pay tribute to Willie Garson, Diahann Carroll and folks we've lost since the show ended, which was really important to me.”

The star has a Golden Globe Award and a Critics' Choice Television Award under his belt. And now, the Missouri native is in the running for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, thanks to his brilliant portrayal of Hawk Fuller in Fellow Travelers.

In the Showtime series, Bomer's character plays a gay World War II veteran who starts a decades-long romance with Timothy (Jonathan Bailey), a congressional staffer, in the 1950s. But did you know the 46-year-old actor is married to his former publicist, Simon Halls, in real life? Or that they share three kids together? Keep scrolling for details about Matt Bomer’s husband.

1. Who Is Matt Bomer’s Husband?

Simon Halls is a highly successful Hollywood publicist. His career began at Warner Bros before he joined BWR Public Relations, where his client list included Jude Law, Sarah Jessica Parker and—you guessed it—Bomer. Halls eventually launched his own publicity company, Huvane Baum Halls, which later merged with PMK. The publicist went on to launch Slate PR, which has become one of Hollywood’s leading agencies.

2. How Did They Meet?

The pair met when Bomer joined the cast of White Collar and hired Halls as his publicist. They instantly hit it off and started pursuing a romantic relationship. Bomer eventually found a new, non-conflicted publicist prior to marrying his now-husband.

3. When Did They Get Married?

Bomer and Halls tied the knot in 2011 in an intimate wedding ceremony, but they didn’t publicly announce their nuptials until 2014. “It was very chill,” Bomer told Out magazine. “Very small: only our nearest and dearest.”

He added, "There's a security, a validity of knowing that it's legal. It's hard to put into words. It's just a feeling, I guess—something about saying vows in front the people around you who love and support you. I think it was good for our family."

4. Have They Posted Each Other on Instagram?

Matt Bomer's husband keeps his profile private, but he has made a few appearances on Bomer's Instagram page. Unfortunately, all of these posts have since been deleted, but back in 2021, Bomer shared a rare, holiday-themed family photo with Halls and their kids and wrote, “This was the only time we’ve all been dressed up in the past two years (maybe longer?), so we thought we’d take advantage of that to say Happy Holidays from our family to you and all of your loved ones. Wishing you a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season.”

5. Do They Have Kids?

The couple share three boys together: Kit (19) and 15-year-old twins, Henry and Walker. In an interview with People, Bomer revealed that he’s keeping his kids away from show business (for now at least). “I don’t want anybody out on stage any time soon,” he said. “I want them to have a nice, normal childhood.”

The actor also told People, “I just want to be hopefully somebody who helps shape these souls without changing how they came into the world. To just give them the structure they need to thrive in the world but at the same time let their own personalities shine through.”
