The 57-year-old actress recently reunited with her former co-star, Scott Patterson (who played Luke Danes), for an interview with E! News. When asked if their characters, Lorelai and Luke, would still be together today, Graham gave a confident answer that will please fans.
“They’re definitely still together,” she said. “I don't know what sort of grandchildren situation there might be, but I think we're living happily in town.”
The “grandchildren” reference was likely referring to Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which hit Netflix in 2016. The follow-up series ended with a bombshell when Rory (Alexis Bledel) told her mom, Lorelai (Graham), that she’s pregnant.
Graham admitted that she’s wary of talking about Lorelai’s future because she doesn’t want to disappoint fans if, let’s say, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino renews the series for another season and writes a different ending.
“It's not up to us,” Graham added. “And also, because whatever fans think has happened, I don’t want to disavow them of that.”
