Katie Holmes is known for keeping her private life on the DL, but that didn’t stop the Dawson’s Creek alum from showing major PDA recently with her new beau, Bobby Wooten III.
The couple were spotted kissing in Central Park back in April and then made their red-carpet debut, prompting fans to ask: Who is Katie Holmes’s boyfriend? And when did this romance begin? Keep reading for all the details.
According to his NYU bio page, Wooten is an adjunct professor at Tisch School of the Arts. The Chicago native is also a Grammy-nominated composer, producer and instrumentalist who has worked with artists like Jennifer Lopez, Mac Miller and Jennifer Hudson.
Wooten plays bass in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway, and he performed with Carly Rae Jepsen at this year's Coachella. Plus, he boasts quite a few impressive composition and production credits, including ESPN, Nike, Google and Reebok.
According to E! News, the pair met through mutual friends. One source told the site, “They know some of the same people who connected them, and so far, it's working well. Katie is excited about seeing someone and is very happy. It's new, but it's going well. She enjoys having someone in her life, and he is very kind and good to her."
As far as we know, the pair have only been dating for a few months, since they were first spotted holding hands in New York City back in April.
Holmes and Wooten have yet to share romantic pics to their Instagram, but it comes as no surprise, given that Holmes is notoriously private on social media.
Holmes’s relationship history goes all the way back to the set of Dawson’s Creek, when she briefly dated Joshua Jackson. A few years later, she got engaged to American Pie actor Chris Klein, but they never made it down the aisle.
In 2006, Holmes tied the knot with Tom Cruise, but they announced their divorce six years later. They share one child together, a daughter named Suri (14).
In 2013, the actress started dating Jamie Foxx and kept her relationship on the DL. In fact, it took a few years for them to make their first official public appearance as a couple when they attended the 2019 Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. While they didn’t stop for pics on the red carpet, they did pose for photographers inside the venue. The pair called it quits a few months later, right before she met Italian-Peruvian chef Emilio Vitolo.
After Holmes and Vitolo dated for about a year, the pair parted ways in 2021.
