The New #1 Movie on Netflix Is a Must-Watch Heist Film

First, it was Catch Me If You Can. Then it was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. And now, another throwback film is gaining popularity on Netflix.

It’s All About the Benjamins originally hit theaters back in 2002. Since becoming available on the streaming service, it’s already claimed the number one spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked ahead of Finding 'Ohana, The Dig and Below Zero.)

It’s All About the Benjamins (not to be confused with the namesake song by Puff Daddy) is an action-comedy film. It follows the story of Tyson Bucum (Ice Cube), a bounty hunter who teams up with a con man named Reggie Wright (Mike Epps) to catch a group of diamond thieves.

The problem? Tyson and Reggie have different motivations for the mission—while Tyson wants to reclaim his former glory, Reggie is determined to find a winning lottery ticket.

In addition to Ice Cube and Epps, It’s All About the Benjamins also stars Eva Mendes (Gina), Tommy Flanagan (Robert Williamson), Carmen Chaplin (Ursula), Anthony Giaimo (Martinez), Robert MacBeth (Mr. Shelton), Valarie Rae Miller (Pam), Roger Guenveur Smith (Julian Ramose), Bob Carter (Mr. Barkley), Bow Wow (Kelly), Anthony Michael Hall (Lil J) and Barbara Barron (Mrs. Barkley).

The movie was directed by Kevin Bray (Walking Tall). The script was written by Ronald Lang (Miami Vice) and Ice Cube (Friday), who also served as an executive producer alongside Matt Alvarez (Are We There Yet?).
