This Terrifying New Apple TV+ Series Will Have You Sleeping with the Lights on

It’s not every day we feel inclined to binge-watch a terrifying show that, in turn, results in weeks of night terrors, followed by a sudden night-light obsession. But when we do get the urge to scare our socks off, we don’t hold back.

That’s why we’re counting down the days until the premiere of Apple TV+’s all-new science fiction drama, Invasion. The streaming service just released a first look trailer for the highly anticipated project, and it looks even scarier than expected.

The trailer introduces viewers to the terrifying story line, which spans across multiple continents. It all begins when aliens arrive on planet Earth, forcing the humans to fight for their survival.

“There’s a reason we’re all put on this Earth. One purpose to everything,” the voiceover says in the clip. “On the course of our life, we come to understand why. Why me?”

The ten-episode series features an all-star cast, including Shamier Anderson (Awake), Golshifteh Farahani (Body of Lies), Sam Neill (Peaky Blinders), Firas Nassar (Fauda) and Shioli Kutsuna (The Outsider).

Invasion was created and written by Simon Kinberg (X-Men, Deadpool) and David Weil (Hunters) alongside director Jakob Verbruggen (The Alienist). The trio also served as executive producers with Audrey Chon (The Twilight Zone), Amy Kaufman (When They See Us), Elisa Ellis (Hannibal), Andrew Baldwin (The Outsider) and Katie O’Connell Marsh (Narcos).

Invasion will premiere on October 22 on Apple TV+. At that time, the first three episodes will become available to stream, followed by new installments every Friday.
