As I patiently anxiously wait for Meghan Markle's Netflix series to premiere, I've found myself turning to a variety of must-watch shows. This includes everything from a high intensity thriller to a slow-burn romance—and even a long-running true-crime series.

I Am a Killer recently released its sixth season, and it quickly claimed a spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched shows. It's ranked among other fan-favorites, including Squid Game, Missing You, The Breakthrough and Virgin River.

The documentary features real interviews with inmates who are on death row. The criminals reflect on their motivations and recall horrific details of the crime that put them in jail. Most of the episodes feature a different story, but there are some more in-depth installments that include a “part one” and “part two.” Still, you can watch the show in any order—just pay attention to the titles.

It’s important to note that I Am a Killer is rated TV-MA, which stands for "Mature Audience Only." The cases touch on sensitive themes like abuse and sexual violence, and the inmates don’t hold back on sharing gory details. Therefore, viewers should proceed with caution.

Many fans were surprised by the release of I Am a Killer season six. Although Netflix had already confirmed that another installment was coming, the timing was much faster than previous installments.

For example, season one was released in 2018. Season two debuted in 2020, followed by season three (August 2022), season four (December 2022) and season five (October 2024). Season six was released in December 2024, just two months after the fifth installment dropped.

You won’t hear me complaining.
