This rom-com imagines a world where Gretchen Weiners from Mean Girls falls in love with Ted Mullens from Schitt’s Creek, and I’m all for it.

Hot Frosty is a brand-new holiday movie that stars Mean Girls alum Lacey Chabert and Schitt’s Creek star Dustin Milligan. The romantic comedy just hit Netflix on November 13, and it’s already claimed the number one spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched films. (It’s currently ranked ahead of Focus, The Lost City, Rob Peace, Meet Me Next Christmas and The Secret Life of Pets.)

Hot Frosty is like a cross between Frosty the Snowman and Jack Frost because it follows a young widow who discovers that her scarf has magical powers. When she brings a snowman to life, she gains a new appreciation for holiday cheer and learns how to love again.

The two stars discussed the film’s message in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum. Milligan said, “We’re not going to spoil it, but Kathy’s backstory is something that actually grounds Hot Frosty in a bit more of a nice realistic, dramatic tone. Then, all of this sort of fun, silly stuff occurs afterward.”

Chabert added, “It’s really funny and light and lovely. But there is also a through line of a lot of heart, and all of these characters are kind of going through something—whether it’s something more comedic or something more deeply emotionally rooted. I think this movie has a very special tone to it. There’s something almost nostalgic about it.”

Fine, I’ll add Hot Frosty to my streaming queue.
