Who Will Get the Final Rose on ‘The Golden Bachelorette’? Here, My Top 3 Predictions

So many good choices!

I ought to confess that I'm new to the Bachelor franchise. At most, I've seen a few snippets, memes and headlines relating to the most dramatic moments in Bachelor history. So, naturally, when I started ABC's first-ever Golden Bachelorette, I expected all the trappings of a juicy reality series, from petty fights and shocking reveals to painfully awkward dates. However, as I devoured the first three episodes, I was genuinely surprised to see that there wasn't much drama, and the lineup of contestants was actually...pretty solid.

Perhaps it's because they're older, accomplished men who know exactly what they're looking for—and the same could be said of our stunning leading lady, Joan Vassos. Following her stint on The Golden Bachelor, the 61-year-old grandmother is now embarking on her own journey to find true love. And according to her official bio, she's got a "zest for adventure and strong family values." Throughout the first three episodes, she emphasizes her desire to feel special and safe with her potential future husband, noting that he should be honest, but also be willing to let loose and have fun.

So, keeping those qualities in mind, I closely observed the remaining bachelors and selected three potential matches/winners, based on past dates, body language and even week four previews. Keep reading for my top picks.

Pascal The Bachelorette theory
Disney/Ricky Middlesworth

Prediction #1: Pascal

He's the kind of guy who enjoys the finer things and, apparently, is baffled by the idea of doing his own laundry. But, lavish lifestyle aside, it's hard to miss the natural connection he already established with Joan. For instance, in week two, while the guys were having a barbeque, Pascal treated Joan to a private tour of the guys' temporary pad—and they legit looked like BFFs as he led her through different rooms. In fact, from the way they were giggling together and walking arm-in-arm, one would think that they'd known each other for years rather than just a few days.

Also, in week three, he was one of the few lucky guys to land a one-on-one date with Joan, which suggests he quickly left a positive impression. In case you need me to jog your memory, she said, "He's hot, I think he's very confident, he has some spunk, he's funny." That instant attraction prompted her to find out what's "in his heart," and lucky for her, she was able to do just that when she took Pascal to The Paris Hotel. He opened up about his challenging childhood, and while he showed Joan his vulnerable side, there was virtually no sign of awkwardness or discomfort—and that's a major plus.

Pascal said, "We had a lot of laughs, a lot of great conversations...it was natural. There is no doubt in my mind that Joan and I definitely have a connection." TBH, I could totally see these two going on plenty of adventures together as a married couple.

Chock The Bachelorette theory
Disney/Ricky Middlesworth

Prediction #2: Chock

Goodness, where do I begin? Maybe with his dreamy blue eyes? His charming smile? Or the fact that he looks really dashing in a bowtie? But beyond the physical attributes, there are so many solid qualities in Chock—and Joan was so quick to notice that she gave Chock the very first one-on-one date.

The pair went on a magical trip to Disneyland, and guys—I kid you not—a part of me felt like I was watching a romantic Hallmark movie. Chock was the sturdy, somewhat serious guy who, with the help of his gorgeous date, was able to channel his inner child for the first time in a while, and it was just so heartwarming to see. (FYI, still not over their adorable encounter with R2-D2.) And as for their body language, they were completely comfortable with each other. Not once did he have to ask for permission to share a kiss, and they weren't shy about showing some PDA.

Joan said, "I thought that Chock and I would be a good match. I needed to find out, and he absolutely was everything I was hoping he would be, and maybe even a little bit more. He was really fun." Also, during their intimate dinner, she pointed out his gentlemanly qualities and got a bit misty-eyed when she compared him to her dad. She added, "He has a lot of the qualities that are really important to me. He's a gentleman, he's kind and family is important to him, just like it is to me."

They proceeded to bond over losing their partners, and Chock even told her that she reminded him of his late wife. But the cherry on top? Joan literally told him that he makes her feel "safe." I rest my case.

Guy on Golden Bachelorette
Disney/Ricky Middlesworth

Prediction #3: Guy

Well, considering that he didn't get as much screen time, this might be considered a questionable choice, but hear me out here. From the moment he and Joan first met, it seemed like they immediately hit it off. I mean, she seemed genuinely intrigued when he sprayed his cologne and explained that he wanted her to remember him by this scent. And I certainly didn't miss that part where she muttered "he's cute" when he walked away.

But what I found especially touching was his interaction with one of his competitors, Charles L. The fact that he lent an ear and showed compassion to Charles speaks volumes about his character, which I'm sure will take him a long way in this competition. And I can't forget about Guy's awesome sense of humor. (Remember how he made Joan giggle when he teamed up with Kim to perform his song?)

Considering Joan's struggles with moving on from her husband's death and her efforts to be present for her family, I imagine that Guy would provide her with the kind of love and support she really needs. So, you could imagine my excitement when I saw these two feeding each other cake and smooching on what looked like a one-on-one date in the preview for next week's episode. Guy says, "I didn't know I could actually feel this good again."

Whew... So many good choices! But I'll be counting down the days until one of these men takes home the final rose...
