I’ve Literally Gotten 5 Texts About This New Tina Fey Comedy & the Trailer Only *Just* Came Out

Our phone has been blowing up ever since Peacock dropped this brand-new trailer for Girls5eva, and we can see why.

The streaming service recently released a first look at Tina Fey’s upcoming comedy series, which follows a washed up girl group called Girls5eva. (#Duh)

The trailer introduces viewers to Girls5eva, which is basically an American version of The Spice Girls. Although they were a one-hit-wonder in the ’90s, the group reunites to give their dream one more shot after an up-and-coming rapper remixes their old song.

According to the show’s logline, “They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents and shoulder pain, but can’t they also be Girls5eva?”

Girls5eva features an all-star cast, including Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), Paula Pell (Saturday Night Live), Busy Philipps (Cougar Town), Ashley Park (Emily in Paris) and Grammy Award-winning singer Sara Bareilles.

The series was created by Meredith Scardino (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt). Fey will serve as an executive producer alongside Robert Carlock (Mr. Mayor).

Guess we’ll be clearing our schedule, since all six episodes of Girls5eva will hit Peacock on Thursday, May 6.
