Page’s character will come out as transgender in the third season, Entertainment Weekly confirmed. He played Vanya Hargreeves for the first two seasons. In the series, Hargreeves could manipulate sound waves through music.
In December 2020, Page came out as transgender and nonbinary on Instagram. “I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive,” Page wrote.
He added, “To all trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better.”
Earlier this month, Netflix confirmed season three will premiere on June 22. The new installment will feature returning cast members, including Page as Viktor, Aidan Gallagher (Five), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), David Castañeda (Diego), Justin H. Min (Ben), Tom Hopper (Luther), Colm Feore (Sir Reginald) and Ritu Arya (Lila).
We can’t wait for more Page in season three.
