Everything We Know About Colin Lawrence’s Wife & ‘Virgin River’ Co-Star, Lucia Walters

We all know him as Preacher on Netflix’s Virgin River, but there’s more to Colin Lawrence than his four-season stint on the riveting drama. For one, the British actor has appeared in dozens of other shows, from Smallville to The Good Doctor. And you may also recognize him from films like Watchmen, Fifty Shades Darker and Rememory. But what about Lawrence’s life behind the scenes?

We did some digging to learn more about the actor’s wife, Lucia Walters, who also stars in Virgin River. In honor of the season 4 premiere, keep reading for more details.

Walters is an actress, who is best known for her work in Mission to Mars, Life Unexpected and Stargate: Atlantis. But the actress also boasts more than 100 acting credits, appearing in titles like The L Word, The 4400, Psych, iZombie and Supernatural.

The lovebirds have been married for a solid 24 years. It all started when they met in college, while they were both studying acting.

They certainly have. If you’ve tuned into Virgin River, then you’ll recognize Walters as Julia from season three, where she joined her husband for three episodes. In season 4, the character has a much larger role and ultimately becomes a love interest for Preacher.

But Virgin River isn't the only time they’ve acted together. Remember that one scene in Fifty Shades Darker, when things got hot and heavy between Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) at the back of a crowded elevator? Well, both Lawrence and Walters were in that crowd, playing two oblivious patrons. As for how they landed these roles, Walters told Cosmopolitan, “I knew exactly what we were going in for, but my husband didn’t have a clue. He’s like, ‘Two days with you with no kids? Yes.’” Sounds like he was in for quite the surprise…
