Now that This Is Us has come to an end, there’s only one question on fans’ minds: What’s next for Chrissy Metz (who played Kate Pearson)?
In a recent interview with PureWow, the 41-year-old actress discussed the popular NBC series and revealed that she’s ready for the next chapter in her career. “It’s hard to let go of something that was part of my life for six or seven years,” she told PureWow.
When asked what she’s been up to since This Is Us wrapped, Metz joked, “Oh, nothing. Nothing at all.” She added, “I was just telling Bradley my boyfriend this morning, ‘I don’t have to get up at 4a.m. What do I do with myself?’”
Despite the newfound free time, Metz has been keeping herself busy with her music and writing. Not only is she embarking on a month-long tour, but she’s also releasing a children’s book, titled When I Talk to God, I Talk About You, which will hit bookshelves on February 14, 2023 (AKA Valentine’s Day).
As for acting, Metz revealed that she’s open to reprising her This Is Us character (in the far distant future). “If Dan [Fogelman] is involved and the rest of the cast is involved, I would definitely do it,” she said. “I would love to see where they all end up in the future.”
Metz has also been promoting her partnership with Capital One Auto Navigator, which guides buyers through the car shopping process. “For me, I’m all about making life easier,” she said. “And that’s what Capital One Auto Navigator does.”
With a children’s book on the way, we can’t wait to see what Metz does next.
