This Intense Chadwick Boseman Thriller Just Hit #6 on Netflix and It Looks So Good

Are you looking for a good crime movie to binge-watch right now? Well, we have you covered.

Back in 2019, Chadwick Boseman starred in the action-packed crime thriller, 21 Bridges. Now, the movie has experienced a resurgence in popularity, where it currently sits at the number six spot on Netflix's top ten list.

In the film, the Black Panther star plays an NYPD detective named Andre Davis. After uncovering a massive conspiracy, the officer joins a citywide manhunt to track down two suspected cop killers. As the search escalates, the authorities are forced to take drastic measures, which results in closing Manhattan’s 21 bridges to prevent the culprits from escaping the city.

Boseman starred alongside some talented Hollywood veterans, like J.K. Simmons, Keith David, Taylor Kitsch and more.

The film was produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, who also worked with the late actor on Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. 21 Bridges was one of the last movies Boseman worked on before his death. Boseman passed away from a four-year battle with colon cancer on August 28, 2020, at the age of 43.

In a 2019 interview with the Los Angeles Times, the Russo brothers revealed how much they loved working with Boseman on the project.

“What we love about Chadwick is he is very creatively sophisticated,” said Joe Russo. “He’s not only an actor but he’s a filmmaker. He thinks in terms of story as much as he thinks in terms of his character. He brought a level of nuance to this character that very few actors can.”

We’re definitely adding this to our Netflix queue right now.
