The trailer offers a glimpse of the dates, rose ceremonies and confrontations to come. There’s a standout scene that takes place at the 25-second mark, when Chris S. seemingly interrupts the cocktail party to call out the other contestants.
“There are guys here that think that they have it in the bag,” he says. “I think that’s bullsh**.”
The men take his statement personally, especially because he said it in front of Young. One person says, “Chris S. is a snake.” Another adds, “He threw us all under the bus.” Someone continues, “This is just a desperate ploy to sabotage everything.”
However, there’s one fan-favorite who’s had enough: Nayte. “There is no reason for any of this,” he tells producers before pulling Chris S. aside. “Let’s go for a talk, bro.” (#RookieMistake)
Of course, this doesn’t go according to plan. Nayte can barely get a word in, and when he tries to interrupt, he receives a defensive reply. “Are you going to put your hands on me?” Chris S. says.
Although Nayte tells Chris to “calm down,” things start to escalate. Nayte adds, “Hey, don’t walk away from me, dog.”
Right on cue, the clip ends. Although there’s no telling what happens next, it’s not looking good for Chris S. and Nayte. First, their argument takes place on a balcony overlooking the rest of the crew and contestants, making it nearly impossible for them to go unnoticed. And second, Young isn’t messing around. If she handles this the same way as Jamie, there’s a good chance she’ll send both men packing to send a message to the other contestants. (Or so we hope.)
The Bachelorette airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
