Another installment of The Princess Diaries, an official sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, confirmation that Hathaway and Zendaya are starring in Christopher Nolan’s next film and now this—the announcement that she and Michael Showalter are teaming up again for an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel Verity. This follows the success of their film The Idea of You, which is the film adaptation of Robinne Lee's romance novel.
Per a report from Deadline, the script is written by Nick Antosca. The official synopsis for Verity states that the film follows a struggling writer named Lowen Ashleigh, who accepts the ‘job of lifetime’ after a period of financial hardship, which sees her finishing the remaining novels in a series from author Verity Crawford after a car accident leaves her injured and incapacitated.
