Angelina Jolie’s big moment at the 2024 Tony Awards was no doubt winning her first award for producing The Outsiders, but we couldn’t help notice her new chest tattoo. She debuted it on the red carpet, which she walked with her 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.

Donning a teal Atelier Versace dress with a matching shawl, Jolie showed off her new ink—a small bird—on her chest. The dress had a plunging neckline and ruched detailing around the bodice. As for Vivienne’s fit, she wore a darker teal vest with coordinating pants and a bowtie. The teenager completed the look with a white button-up shirt and a pair of black Converse.

Jolie introduced the cast of The Outsiders at the award ceremony, which won the title for Best Musical. “Susie Hinton wrote The Outsiders in high school,” she began. “A half-century later, it still speaks to us. Society changes, but the experience of being an outsider is universal. To any young person, any person, feeling on the outside, you are not wrong to see what is unfair. You are not wrong to wish to find your own path. As the cast raise their voices, I hope it inspires many of you watching to value yours.”

Her Tony Awards arrival comes a few months after she and her daughter made an appearance at the Broadway premiere of The Outsiders. Vivienne was her mom’s volunteer assistant for the musical. Jolie discussed what it was like to work together on the project, which was nominated for 12 Tony Awards.

“She’ll correct me,” the Maleficent actress told People. “She’ll say, ‘Didn’t you read the memo? We have to do this. We have to go through this.’”

She also told Deadline that Vivienne was a big fan of the story. “She went to see The Outsiders at La Jolla about five times and was telling me about it, and I had read the book, and I’d seen the film years ago.”

We can’t wait to see what’s next for the duo.
