And it only has three episodes

Fans have been talking about Emily in Paris non-stop on social media ever since part one of season four dropped on Netflix last week. (FYI, the popular series is currently sitting at number two on the streaming platform’s top ten shows list.) But I don’t hear enough people talking about Netflix’s latest number-one series, which seems like a must-see for anyone who loves true-crime shows.

This latest installment of American Murder centers around the mysterious disappearance of Laci Peterson, a wife and soon-to-be mom who, in December of 2002, goes missing from her home in Modesto, California, which she shared with her husband, Scott Peterson, at the time. The chilling story captured national attention and stayed in the news cycle for months until the police made a shocking discovery. (Don’t worry, I won’t spoil the rest.)

The three-part documentary features in-depth interviews with detectives, lawyers and jurors involved in the case, in addition to a never-before-seen sit-down conversation with Laci’s mom, Sharon Rocha, who hasn’t publicly talked about her daughter’s disappearance…until now.

While sitting down with Netflix’s TUDUM, American Murder: Laci Peterson director Skye Borgman shared how important it was for him to include Rocha’s interview in the series. “Sharon did press when Laci went missing, but she’s never sat down to do an interview for a documentary,” he told Netflix.

Borgman continued, “It’s not easy, after 20 years, to sit down in front of a camera. But we wanted this to be about Laci, to bring her back to people’s consciousness. Sharon wanted to talk about Laci’s spirit, and about the dragonflies that Laci loved. How Laci is still with them, and how Conner—Laci’s unborn son—is still with them.”

Take it from a true-crime show lover: This series looks *so good*—and that’s just from watching the trailer. And it has to be number one for a reason, right?
