Good News About the ‘Virgin River’ Season 5 Premiere: Alexandra Breckenridge Says Production Started ‘Earlier Than We Usually Do’
In a recent interview with New Beauty, the This Is Us star, 40, shared exclusive details about what’s to come in Virgin River season 5 and revealed that production began sooner than expected.
“This season, we have had the pleasure of starting earlier than we usually do,” she told the outlet.
As a result, Breckenridge has experienced a different side of Canada while filming season 5, as opposed to previous installments. “The weather has been absolutely amazing! I understand why people live in Vancouver now—it is absolutely stunning in the summertime,” she said.
The actress continued “We’ve been shooting in the winter the last four seasons, but now we started to spend more time there in the summer; I got to experience a little bit more of the sites and amazing things to do in the city. Typically, it was so cold and wet. The winters could be so brutal…but now I’m like, ‘Oh wow. I get it now. I get this town.’”
Breckenridge also teased what’s to come in Virgin River season 5, adding, “I think this season has started out well, and we’re getting into a few episodes soon that are pretty heavy. They’re really intense and I think that they’re some of the best episodes we’ve ever done.”
