Hold Up—‘Virgin River’ Star Alexandra Breckenridge Was on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’?!

Alexandra Breckenridge is widely known for starring on Virgin River and This Is Us, but did you know that she also made a cameo on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

While browsing through IMDB, we discovered that the 39-year-old actress previously starred in the popular series, which followed a teenage girl who’s tasked with slaying evil forces.

Breckenridge played Kit Holburn, a troublemaker student at Sunnydale High. In season seven, episode one (titled “Lessons”), Kit was targeted by Manifest spirits on her first day of school alongside Dawn Summers (Michelle Trachtenberg) and Carlos Trejo (David Zepeda). Thankfully, Kit survived the incident because of Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), who saved the day.

Although Breckenridge only appeared in one episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she also made a voiceover appearance later in the season. If you recall, Dawn was chatting on the phone with Kit when an evil spirit entered the Summers home. Dun dun dunnn.

We should have seen this coming, especially since Breckenridge has a stacked resume. In addition to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, This Is Us and Virgin River, the actress also had small roles in teen comedies like Big Fat Liar and She’s the Man. Her career took off when she played reporter Willa McPherson in Dirt before joining the cast of The Walking Dead and True Blood. Oh, and did we mention she appeared in two seasons of American Horror Story?
