Explosive Thriller Hits #1 on Netflix—and I Did a Double Take When I Saw the Star

I thought I had seen it all when it comes to Netflix’s top-rated list, which is filled with romantic comedies, gripping documentaries and heartwarming dramas. However, I never expected to do a double take when I saw Dylan Sprouse in the number one film, titled Aftermath

Although the film originally hit theaters in November, it recently became available to stream on Netflix as of February 10. And within a matter of days, Aftermath has claimed the number one spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked ahead of Kinda Pregnant, Uncle Drew, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, The Menu and Back in Action.)

Sprouse stars as a war veteran who is forced to fight for his survival when he and his sister get trapped on a bridge that’s being guarded by a terrorist group. He must battle his PTSD and channel his inner soldier to lead the hostages to safety.

When I saw Aftermath on Netflix, I immediately did a double take because I haven’t seen Sprouse in quite some time. He first made a name for himself as the childhood star in Big Daddy. Sprouse went on to become a Disney Channel star with shows like The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck

Sprouse is not to be confused with his identical twin brother, Cole, who also appeared in all the above titles. However, Cole also starred as Jughead Jones in The CW’s Riverdale

Looks like the Sprouse twins are all grown up. *Wipes tear*
