Adam Sandler has played a fictional father countless times, from Big Daddy to Hotel Transylvania. But this time around, the 56-year-old actor is sharing the screen with his two real-life daughters—Sadie, 17, and Sunny Sandler, 14—for the new Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. And based on the just-released trailer, it's clear that the Sandler teens were gifted with their dad's comedic chops.

The story, which is based on Fiona Rosenbloom's 2005 YA novel You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!, follows 12-year-old Stacy Friedman, who is preparing for her Bat Mitzvah and wants everything to be perfect. Too bad she's stuck in the throes of adolescence.

“I'm not popular,” Stacy (played by Sandler's youngest, Sunny) says in the trailer. “I'm not a loser.”

Really, all Stacy wants is to have a boyfriend and the Bat Mitzvah of her dreams. However, all of that comes crashing down when she spots her best friend, Lydia (Samantha Lorraine), sharing a kiss with her crush, Andy (Dylan Hoffman). In classic teen fashion, plenty of drama and shenanigans ensue.

In YASNITMBM, Adam Sandler plays Danny Friedman, the father to Stacy and Ronnie (played by Sadie).

The end of the clip features Sadie showing off her comedic timing. Danny says to Ronnie, “She's growing up so fast, it's crazy.” And Ronnie replies, “I'm drinking now. I tried it the other day—I didn't like it. We're good.”

And while Idina Menzel (Frozen) plays Danny's wife in the film, Adam Sandler's real wife, Jackie, also has a part in the comedy, as the mother to Stacy's best friend.
