Last month, Reese’s Book Club reached a major milestone when it celebrated its 100th pick. With countless recommendations under her belt, Reese Witherspoon is practically the queen of virtual book clubs (excluding one misstep). And to no surprise, her latest pick is a total winner.

This week, the 48-year-old actress shared her October pick for Reese’s Book Club: Society of Lies by Lauren Ling Brown. Witherspoon announced the exciting news on the club’s official Instagram page with a video of the novel’s cover.

Society of Lies tells the story of a woman named Maya, who returns to Princeton for her college reunion and her sister’s graduation. Her homecoming comes to an abrupt halt when her sister, Naomi, is found dead. While searching for answers, Maya discovers that Naomi recently joined an exclusive social club on campus that has a dark past. The more she uncovers, the more she realizes that Naomi’s death was anything but an accident.

Witherspoon has made a habit of sharing her book recommendations on Instagram every month. Previously, the Morning Show star posted details about her September book pick for Reese’s Book Club: The Comfort of Crows by Margaret Renkl, which is a year-long journey through Renkl’s backyard that explores the balance of joy and grief in the natural world.
