Ideally, your sun-kissed summer glow would come from a dreamy vacation at the beach, but until then, self-tanner will have to do. (Plus, it’s way safer for your skin.)

According to thousands of Amazon reviews (and one perfectly tanned coworker), the Tanologist Express Self-Tan Water ($18 $9) is the one to beat. On this brand-new episode of Take My Money, PureWow creator Kate tests it out to see if it delivers the same (or better) results as a tanning mousse, and she also shows you how to apply self-tanning spray to achieve an even look. So, does this beauty product really work?

Before testing out the viral product, Kate shares how ecstatic she is to test out the express self-tan water. In the past, she has used a self-tanning mousse to help achieve a nice, sun-kissed glow.

And this time around, she’s curious to see how the products will compare. “I’m excited to see the difference in how it turns out,” she reveals in the video above.

Click the video above to hear more of Kate’s honest thoughts on the beloved product.
