I've always said I'd never give up my long hair. That is, until I let it grow so long that it reached all the way down my back and was constantly getting tangled and in the way of everything. I decided it was time to chop off at least a few inches, but after doing some digging around online, I eventually opted to cut off quite a bit more and donate it. While I was split on my decision after I made the cut (on the one hand, it was for a great cause—but on the other, where was all of my hair?!), what I didn't prepare for was the shift in styling it.
I'd gotten used to simply air drying my hair and maybe throwing in a few curls with a barrel curling iron if I needed to look more put-together or wanted some long, mermaid-esque waves. But when I tried using my go-to tool on my shorter hair, well, let's just say the results were not ideal. So back online I went to search for some inspo on Pinterest (because where else is a girl to turn in the midst of a hair crisis?) and was drawn to straighter styles that fit my new 'do. The only problem? I no longer owned a hair straightener. As a commerce editor, I know that T3 is one of the top hair tool brands on the market, so when I saw that it recently released a new Singlepass Smooth X model ($150) I knew I had to give it a try.
