ICYMI: Simone Biles and the rest of the U.S. women's gymnastics team have officially taken home the gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics. While all of us were impressed with Biles's jaw-dropping floor routine, I was just as wowed by the superstar athlete's gravity-defying glam. From complicated choreography to flips through the air, Biles's beauty look stayed flawless through it all—and now I know why. During the competition, the gymnast was spotted touching up her makeup with none other than the Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Instant Setting + Blotting powder (which she paired with this Hydro Grip Hydrating Makeup Primer from Milk Makeup), that happens to be the same product used by Rihanna herself during her legendary Super Bowl halftime show last year.

So what is it exactly about this setting powder that has our favorite A-list athlete hooked? Well, per the brand, the mattifying formula does a super effective job of blurring the look of pores, absorbing shine and extending your makeup to last all day. True to the Fenty ethos, the product comes in a universal, one-size-fits-all translucent shade (meaning it's suitable for all skin tones). Plus, the application process is clearly simple enough to do between routines at the Olympic games: You just take the sponge, swipe it onto the powder and gently dab across your skin to reduce shine and create a "filtered" finish.

What’s more, you shouldn’t need to apply it again for the remainder of the day…unless, of course you’re in a situation where you’re exerting a lot of energy, like, say, the Olympics or the Super Bowl.

Fenty Beauty

If the stamp of approval from Biles and Rihanna wasn't enough to pique your interest, how about hearing it from those who have made the splurge? “I have used this powder for years. It is light and doesn’t cake, and is great for a quick blot...[it] works with every foundation I use,” says one 5-star reviewer. “Does not leave a gray overtone to your face! Calms the shine immensely!,” exclaims another. Once you run out, all you'll need to do is purchase a refill of the powder to replace in the mirrored compact, which you can snag for just $27.

I’ve already got plenty of Fenty Beauty in my makeup drawer, but after seeing this Invisimatte powder in action during Biles's gold-medal winning routine, I'm definitely making room for some more. Wanna join me? Shop the pick below!
