I'm just going to come right out and say it. If you buy any two Oribe hair products, make sure they're the brand's Gold Lust Dry Shampoo and Dry Texturizing Spray. Simply put: There's just no other brand that makes a better version of either product, period. And I know it can seem a bit daunting, because of the price tag (typically $48 apiece), but hear me out.
Let's start with the Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo. To put it frankly, this stuff is pure gold. I've never used another dry shampoo that leaves my hair feeling so clean and soft. I also can't get enough of the signature scent, which is a good thing, because the formula is actually boosted with fragrance-retention technology, so the scent doesn't wear off all day. What I love most about it though, is its translucent starch blend, which doesn't leave any texture, grit or weight to hair like nearly every other dry shampoo does. Instead, it instantly absorbs dirt, oil, impurities and product build up so my strands feel fresh after using it, which is what I'm always striving for in the first place.
Then there's the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. Like the dry shampoo, this stuff smells amazing, thanks to a blend of bright Italian bergamot, white peach and cedarwood. It feels just as weightless on my hair, but adds a touch of grit that prevents my beach waves from falling midday. How, you ask? Well, it's formulated with antioxidants and aloe vera to hydrate, smooth and protect strands. Plus it even has patented polymers to absorb oil at the roots, making it a nice alternative to dry shampoo (if you prefer a little more grit). It's so popular, that one sells every 60 seconds throughout the world. If that's not enough to sway you, listen to this reviewer who says, "This was my first Oribe purchase and what started my love affair with the brand. I don't like using hairspray, so this was a great alternative to it IMO. Regardless if I wore my hair straight or wavy, this product kept my hair in check, while maintaining movement."
And now for the best part. Both products are bundled together at a major discount for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Even though a good hair day is priceless, I'm stocking up on some Oribe while the prices are this good.
