It seems like almost every day, yet another brand comes out with a beauty line. Not that I’m complaining or anything, but it’s hard sometimes to keep up. FILA's new skincare line, however, definitely made my head turn. Yes, you read that right, the footwear brand behind the Disruptor 2 Premium shoes—which was Footwear New's pick for Shoe of the Year not too long ago and one of the internet's favorite chunky sneakers—is dipping its toes into skincare (pun intended) with a line of products developed by Korean skincare experts and I had the pleasure of reviewing them.

I Tried FILA's New Skincare Line & These 3 Products Are Worth Every Penny

What is FILA Skincare?
You’re probably already familiar with FILA, the Korean sportswear brand that was big in the '80s and '90s. The brand went pretty quiet for a while after that but made a super comeback in 2016 after reviving its popular Disrupter 2 (a time when folks felt nostaglic). Today, buyers go to the South Korean sportswear brand for everything from chunky sneakers to tennis apparel, and now skincare. FILA’s skincare line was developed by experts in Korean skincare and focuses on "innovation and a rich history and purpose behind each product," according to the brand.
The line features seven products from a Sun-Kissed Sun Cream and How Dew You Dew Sheet Masks to Glow Daily Pink Vitamin Sheet Masks, designed to tackle everyday skincare needs (including moisturizing, brightening and cleansing) while also encouraging you to express what makes you unique. (Literally, FILA's skincare line's slogan is "Skin That Fits You.") But does it actually live up to its hype? I tested all seven products, and these are the three that stood out to me.

The Gel-ous Cool Down Face Patch is one of the coolest products in the collection. The patches are applied the same way as most acne dots (just stick them onto dry or irritated spots) and left on for ten to 20 minutes to soothe and relieve skin. I stuck them close to my jawline (a spot of my face that gets super dry during the winter) and the area felt super moisturized after the 20 minutes and even the next day, which was impressive since it tends to get flakey.
The Gel-ous Cool Down Wash Off Masks are formulated with chamomile extract, centella asiatica extract and tea tree extract to help nourish skin. They're individually wrapped to apply dry (avoiding eye and lip areas) and should be rinsed off in ten to 15 minutes. I love the little packets, which are super easy to pack and even easier to apply since you get a specific amount so you know you're not using too much or too little. And it's specifically designed to soothe irritated skin, so I found it to be the perfect pick-me-up after workouts and long days.
The Glow Daily Pink Vitamin Sheet Mask also made the cut because not only is it packed with vitamin B12, oryza sativa bran extract and niacinamide to brighten skin, but I noticed that it made my skin glow from the inside out for days on end so there was no need to use one every day. And it only took ten minutes of my time.
