Calling all hair obsessives, Dyson lovers and beauty-holics! I have some news that you'll definitely want to hear. Dyson, the brand behind some of your holy grail hair tools (ahem, including the Airstrait and Airwrap), just launched an upgraded version of its iconic Supersonic hair dryer that's designed to prevent heat damage and protect your scalp health. Sounds like someone at Dyson has been listening to our blow-drying concerns! Wanna get your hands on the smart-sensor hair tool? You can scoop up the new Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer ($499) at Sephora RN. I certainly am, and I'll tell you why: As a proud owner of the OG version, which cut my drying time to less than 20 minutes, I'm very confident that this newer model is all that and then some.

I caught up on all the cool features that it offers, like the dryer's new network of Nural sensors that limit excessive heat and "automatically optimize your styling routine," per the brand. In other words, this new technology ensures that you get the most out of your blowout. For instance, in scalp protect mode, it'll automatically adjust the air temperature to 130 degrees Fahrenheit when you get close to your roots, so you can safely and comfortably style your strands while cutting down on heat damage, which can lead to dryness, breakage, frizz and flyaways. And, of course, this upgraded model comes with all the beloved attachments, including the wide tooth comb (which is perfect for quick-drying, may I add), the gentle air attachment, the styling concentrator (which is one of my go-to's), the flyaway attachment and the wave+ curl diffuser, which has one TikToker head over heels (uh, hair).

Now, while I do love the OG dryer, I must admit that the new pause detect feature—which literally stops the dryer when you put it down—is what's selling me on the new Dyson Supersonic Nural. As someone with thick hair who has to constantly part my hair in between the drying process, I always have to turn the tool off and on until I finish (which can be very tiring). But this feature sounds like a total game changer, set to save quite a bit of time and energy while I style. Hey, who doesn't love efficiency?

Unsurprisingly, reviewers who have already gotten their hands on one are obsessed: "The Supersonic Nural hair dryer is life-changing! I always hated drying my hair—I have a lot of it and it takes forever. With my new Dyson hair dryer, my dry time is cut in half! I use all the attachments for different styles and I love how easy they are to pop on and off," writes one.

Intrigued? You should also know that this newer Nural dryer has four heat settings: "82 degrees Fahrenheit to set your style, 140 degrees Fahrenheit for gentle drying and diffusing, 176 degrees Fahrenheit for regular drying and 212 degrees Fahrenheit for fast drying and styling," says Dyson. So, if you're in the market for a new hair dryer (and heck, even if you're not), I *highly* suggest you scoop up this scalp-protecting masterpiece that can probably get the job done quicker than your favorite hair stylist. You'll thank me (or Dyson) for all your good hair days later.
