We Tried This Mega Q-Tip Exfoliator and It Changed Our Entire Face

It is one superior swab

Exfoliating is a necessary evil in skin care. What with the scratchy scrubs and the scary-sounding chemicals and peels that leave you looking raw, it's not exactly something we always look forward to. But ask any dermatologist worth their salt and they will unanimously agree: It's the key to a clear, healthy complexion--no matter your age or skin type.

That's why we're hooked on the Aqua Peeler from Yoon Dermaline--the gentlest, most effective (and fun to use) exfoliator we've ever tried.

Inspired by a popular in-office treatment in Korea (where derms use a machine to remove debris from your pores while simultaneously hydrating your skin), this at-home version comes with an oversized Q-tip applicator that's pre-soaked in exfoliating lactic and glycolic acids, deep sea water and soothing botanical extracts to get you similar results for just $6 a pop.

Here’s what you do: After washing your face, twist off the tube and pop out the cotton swab. Sweep it over your face, focusing on problem areas like the T-zone and around the nose. (The swab makes it easy to reach every nook and cranny.) It’s kind of like a power peel and mask in one. You’ll feel a slight tingling sensation as the acids get to work, but it won’t leave your skin red or irritated thanks to those botanicals we mentioned. Let it absorb for a minute and follow with your usual skin-care routine.

We woke up the next day to clear pores, seriously soft cheeks and a noticeably brighter complexion. But as much as you’ll want to use this daily (it’s super addicting), maybe just bust it out once a week so as not to overstimulate your newly baby-like face.
