Welp, There's Now a Tinder for Making Female Friends

Swipe right for book recommendations and sweater-borrowing

If you’ve ever wished you could apply the same swipe-left/swipe-right snap-judgement mentality to making friends as you do to meeting men, we’ve got good news: There’s now a Tinder-style app for meeting pals.

The app--called Hey! VINA--launched last week in San Francisco and officially makes it easy to swipe right if you think the cutie with the bangs could totally be your new BFF…or swipe left if the weirdo with the doll collection is definitely not.

Simply download the app, fill out a short personality quiz (“I like meeting up for wine, coffee or both”) and start trolling for delightful and fun-loving chicks that enjoy scintillating conversation and Ryan Gosling movies--just like you.

Once a match is made, a chat connection will open up (a la Tinder), so you can start texting and planning exactly where you’ll meet for your first lady date IRL.

Right now, the app is only available in SF, but prepare thy social calendars: It’s rolling out in new cities super-soon.
